AUs where all the characters are the same, or the same character from multiple universes take up most of the cast are also Basic Changes. Whether that be where all the Monsters are instead gods (like Reapertale), where all the Monsters are violent, fell creatures (like Underfell), or where the entire world has been altered from the world of Undertale or the base-AU (like Dreamtale), they are all Basic Change AUs. This is NOT meant for crossover stories between AUs.īasic Change AUs are AUs that have some fundamental aspect from Undertale or, in the case of AUs of AUs, the base-AU changed in such a way that everything is affected. If the characters and/or setting of Undertale are placed in a different franchise, Continuity Change - Crossworld should be used instead. In that case, the AU is most likely in the Continuity Change and Special Event types.ĪUs where the characters of Undertale are replaced by those of a different franchise, such as a show or game. If there is an in-universe reason for characters to change roles from their original ones, it doesn't fit in this type either. Some or all of the canon Undertale characters swap roles and/or personalities with or shift into the roles of the other canon Undertale characters. Undertale Alternate Universe (AUs) are what-if changes to the universe of Undertale.ĪU categories are used to differentiate AUs and to avoid confusion between AUs (categories are not AUs themselves). 1.3.4 AU Where Everyone is the Same Person.They prefer to formally call it "The Ebott Massacre", since of the nearly five thousand soldiers that fought, only 286 made it out alive. The monsters don't even call it a battle. The battle is what first brought seeds of discontent into human civilians, disturbed by the brutal war stories told of the battle. Asgore went on to disband The Grand Army and The Royal Guard, not seeing a need for them any longer. It wouldn't take long before residences sprouted up all across the Underground. With the barrier formed, Asgore led his people deeper into the mountain, quickly finding a nice place to set up a small city. Their reasoning was wanting to starve the monsters to death, rather than chase after them and risk a brutal cave-fighting campaign. The humans brought in the seven grand wizards from their kingdoms to create a large magic barrier outside Mount Ebott, sealing monsters underground. Asgore pulls the military back into the caverns. The final civilians are at last safe in the caverns. Frederick is ultimately killed by Asgore, strengthening the resolve of the humans. Fierce fighting ensues.įrederick and Asgore find each other in the haze, and begin to dual. King Frederick Berinon launches his all-out assault on the monster defenders. Once everybody was Underground, Asgore hoped he could just hide there until things calmed down. His intentions were to hide the civilians in Mount Ebott's caverns, while the military put up a final stand. During the four day journey, there was almost no rest for anybody, especially Asgore himself. It took place just days following The Siege Of Ebott, and would go on to mark the end of the war.įollowing Ebott's fall, Prince Asgore Dreemurr fled with the surviving civilians, and what was left of The Grand Army and The Royal Guard to Mount Ebott. This was the monsters final stand against the human kingdoms at the base of Mount Ebott. The final battle in The War For Humanity, or The Battle Of The Mountain, was one of the bloodiest battles throughout the entire war.
